Soccer cleats constantly evolve with advancements in technology and design. Goalkeeper gloves have been overlooked with brands just launching a new color each year. Until this glove: the Nike Mercurial Touch Elite.
Gone is bulky padding. Gone are the multiple foam patches stitched together. Gone is the strap. These gloves are designed to unleash the ultimate potential of a goalkeeper's hands.
Less padding means a more streamlined and flexible glove. Fewer needless components, which means the glove is 33% lighter and 47% thinner.
PALM: ACC foam. Made with Nike's ACC (All Condition Control) technology. ACC perforated foam provides shot absorption and enhanced grip. Designed to provide optimal grip in all weather conditions.
FINGER PROTECTION: None.
CUT: Negative cut. Reverse-stitched gusset wraps around the hand for a natural fit. Second skin feel.
BACKHAND: 4 way stretch latex backed with mesh ensures natural hand motion. Punch prints on the third and fourth knuckle provide a barrier and won't bunch up, and they lay close to the hand, even with full extension.
CLOSURE: Flexible wrist cuff. No bulky strap, a reverse stitched gusset wraps around the hand for a natural fit.
HOW TO SIZE: To determine your goalkeeper glove size, measure the circumference of your palm just below your knuckles, without your thumb. Round up to the next whole inch, and then add 1 to determine your size. Measure both hands, and if the measurements are different, order the larger size for the most consistent fit. Example: if your hands measure 6.5" to 7.0", then you add 1" = size 8 goalkeeper glove.
