In 1998, in their debut season in Major League Soccer, Chicago won the MLS Cup and the US Open Cup. The new home jersey honors that season.
In addition to the familiar white band across the chest, two more white bars resemble the 1998 jersey.
adidas three stripes are on the shoulders. On the upper back, four six-pointed stars are taken from the Chicago city flag. The second star is red in remembrance of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
Heat press team badge includes one star representing the 1998 MLS Cup victory. A jocktag on the hem commemorates the 20th anniversary of that historic MLS Cup/US Open Cup double, and reads "1998-2018, 20, The Double".
The authentic jersey has a slender fit. Climalite technology with mesh back panel provides cool, moisture control comfort.
