Milla, Roger

Roger Milla - Representing Cameroon in three World Cup tournaments, Milla was one of the first African players to be renowned on the international football stage. His breakthrough came in the 1990 World Cup at the age of 38 when the Cameroon national team reached the quarter-finals, largely a result of his performance. Milla appeared in the 1994 World Cup at the age of 42 making him the oldest player to ever participate in the tournament. In 2006 the CAF association named him the best African player of the 20th century.
