Chelsea Football Club and adidas have once more teamed up on the new stellar home shirt for the 2012/13 season. The jersey continues the traditional blue, while introducing a gold theme, befitting their first European Championship, as well as the year of sport and celebration in the capital in 2012.
The new Chelsea FC home soccer jersey sees the adidas, sponsor and club crest all splashed completely gold. This theme is reflected in the iconic three stripes across the shoulders and the ‘CFC’ on the rear collar. With subtle dark blue stripes through the front, it’s finished off with more bling: gold piping around the arms and neck.
This design detail is repeated through the shorts (#31683) and socks (#34738) both of which feature golden three-stripes on Chelsea’s famous blue. The blue shirt/shorts combination with white socks is one Chelsea have worn since the mid-1960's, and blue has been their color since Chelsea Football Club was founded in 1905.
The 2012/13 Chelsea football kit once more features the adidas TechFit technology in the on-field jersey, which is proven to enhance performance. The on-field jersey will incorporate the cutting edge TechFit technology to help improve speed, increased endurance capabilities and enhanced awareness.
